Steve Luxton | Treasurer

Steve was born and raised in Guernsey, moved to London in 1988, then to Caterham on the Hill in 1998. He soon realised that Caterham and surrounding areas have a very strong sense of community.

His professional background is in financial services and banking, and he worked for Baring Brothers and Barclays International before taking early retirement. He met some of the drivers from ESDAR and quickly appreciated that the charity has a key role to play in the community to ensure that no one feels isolated by not being able to use public transport.

When the Treasurer decided to step down in 2020, Steve was asked if he could take over, and accepted without hesitation, delighted to support the charity.
