Teresa Fitzpatrick | Fundraising

Teresa was born and educated in Caterham, trained as a psychiatric nurse and became a Senior Nurse Manager.

She worked in this role until 1994, when she became ill with Guillaume Barre Syndrome, which meant she has been a wheelchair user ever since.

Teresa was introduced to ESDAR after her illness and has used the service ever since. She believes her life would have been much more difficult without the care and support of ESDAR and its drivers.

In 2001 she accepted the invitation to join the ESDAR board, as it gave her an opportunity to support the charity’s work and to work with fellow Trustees, staff and volunteers to seek to safeguard its future.
