Born and raised in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands, I moved to London in 1988 and then Caterham on the Hill in 1998. I quickly realised that Caterham and the local areas have a very positive sense of community.
My professional background is in finance roles within the financial services and banking sectors in the City of London, among them Baring Brothers and Barclays International, before taking early retirement.
My encounters with ESDAR came from some of the drivers I had met. I had no knowledge of Community Transport but quickly appreciated that ESDAR has a key role to play in the local community to ensure that no one feels isolated because they cannot use public transport.
In 2020, I was asked if I could help, as the Treasurer was stepping down, following a long and respected service. I accepted without hesitation and delighted to be supporting such an important cause.
